The Vanier Sugar Bush

Join the Ottawa Forests and Greenspace Advisory Committee at the Vanier Sugar Bush for a day of fresh air and sweet maple delights. Special guest speaker Gilles Ladouceur, the Sugar Bush’s Operator, will deliver an exclusive presentation to our group about the sugar bush and how maple syrup is made. This will be followed by a guided tour of the trails through the sugar bush. Plenty of maple syrup to go around!

Date and time: March 18, 2007  12:50-2:30 pm.

What to bring: Comfortable walking shoes, water bottle and other weather-appropriate attire.

Rendez-vous point: Meet at the parking lot at Richelieu Park, at the end of des Pères Blancs Drive (see map below).

Please note: The tour will be delivered in English. The tour will leave promptly at 1 pm.

The Ottawa Forests and Greenspace Advisory Committee (OFGAC) was established in 2001 to advise Ottawa City Council and to provide a forum for citizens on issues related to forests and greenspace. The Committee has 15 members, appointed by Council, from all areas of the City of Ottawa.
