in the future Riverside South community

A. From the intersection of Limebank and Earl Armstrong Roads, heading west on Armstrong Road:

1a. Stormwater management site

1b. Same windbreak

2a. Proposed school grounds at corner of Armstrong and Spratt roads - bounded by windbreaks.

2b. Same treeline a bit further along.

B. From the intersection of Armstrong and Spratt Roads, heading south:

3. Cluster of significant deciduous trees

4. Single large Oak (probably Burr Oak) at side of road. (Trees mentioned in 3 can be seen in background.)

8a. Young woodlot - south edge - near where a proposed major road will cross Spratt. (See also SE below under woodlots.)

8c. West side of Spratt near where major road will cross Spratt.

E. From the intersection of Armstrong Road and Spratt Road, going west toward River Road, looking left:

20. Single large tree on south side of Earl Armstrong Road just west of Spratt.

F. From the intersection of River Road and Earl Armstrong Road heading south:

23a. On River Road south of Armstrong.

23b. Same location looking east, with Spratt West Woodlot in the distance.

H. From the intersection of Earl Armstrong and Limebank Roads heading east toward Bowesville Road:

30a. Treed berm on north side of Earl Armstrong Road between road and Mosquito Creek.

32. Farther east on Earl Armstrong Road looking south.

32. Same place looking north.

33. Ash trees on south side of Earl Armstrong Road near the corner of Bowesville.

J. From the intersection of Earl Armstrong and Bowesville roads, heading north and along the hydro line:

35c. Red Maple in a cluster of trees next to the 4th pylon (#335).

37. Nice stand of cedars on west side of hydro line.

38. Looking north toward Leitrim Road. Can see large trees on left (development side) and cedars in the distance. The large trees occur in a band along the hydro line. The rest of the land west along Leitrim Road is scrub - mostly shrubby willows, small aspen, dogwood. The area is obviously wet.

39. Large White Spruce on east side of hydro line. Inset is larger photo of Sandy (5'1") who is standing at the base of the tree.

L. From the intersection of River Road and Leitrim Roads heading east

Beautiful creek forming part of existing SWM facility (viewed from top of culvert that runs under Leitrim Road.

Same area, looking at the cluvert.

Same location looking south along the well treed west bank of the creek.

T-shaped woodlot (largest in development site)

T8. A "nurse log" - with ferns, sedges, mosses and new trees growing out of it.

T9. Inside the T-shaped woods, along what seems to be a drainage ditch.

T10. This beautiful "trail" should be developed into a biking/walking path.

Spratt West (SW) woodlot

SW1. South side of woodlot on west side of Spratt Road, south of Earl Armstrong Road.

SW2. East side (along Spratt Road) of same woodlot.
